Production Details
The shoot for this sequence is scheduled to take place through May and June, primarily in Hyderabad. The actors will film their parts at different times, based on their individual schedules. The report further states that Priyanka Chopra — marking her return to Indian cinema — will shoot her portions first, followed by Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, who is reportedly playing a powerful antagonist.
The film is described as an epic jungle adventure, with its story rooted in the spiritual city of Kashi. Due to logistical challenges, the filmmakers are recreating Kashi’s ancient landscape on elaborate sets in Hyderabad, while also capturing scenes in real forest locations across
Odisha and Africa.
Speaking of the film’s production status, major schedules have already been completed in Odisha’s Koraput district.
A Grand Cinematic Experience
SSMB29 is shaping up to be a massive cinematic event, blending elements of mythology, adventure, and realism. While earlier reports suggested the film might be released in two parts, a recent Pinkvilla update confirms that it will be a single feature.
The makers are reportedly eyeing a summer 2027 release.
The music for the film will be composed by Oscar-winning musician M.M. Keeravani, with cinematography by P.S. Vinod.
