Sonakshi Sinha denies being part of Rajkummar Rao’s production - Exclusive

Sonakshi Sinha, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Dabangg', has starred in many hit films and web series. She recently addressed rumors about being cast in the film 'Toaster' backed by Rajkummar Rao, clarifying it she said she hasn't received any call regarding the project but would consider it if approached.

Sonakshi Sinha made her Bollywood debut 14 years ago with the Salman Khan starrer 'Dabangg', since then she has been part of many successful ventures like 'Rowdy Rathore', 'Son of Sardaar', 'R…Rajkumar', 'Mission Mangal', among many others. She later ventured into the web series space with shows like 'Dahaad' and very recently with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali series 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar'.

A while ago it was reported that the actress had been cast opposite Rajkummar Rao in a film called 'Toaster'. The film which also features Archana Puran Singh in a pivotal role, was said to be Rao’s foray into production.
However, in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Sonakshi has denied being part of the film. She tells us, “I’ve not heard about it… Mujhe abhi tak call nahi aaya... aayega to karlungi... main karna chahunge, call aa jayega to accha hai ( I’ve not received a call from them yet, but it would be nice to work with them.)"

Sonakshi who tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal this year, would soon be sharing screen space with him for a film 'Tu Hai Meri Kiran', the shoot for the film was completed just before their marriage in June. This would be their second film together, the first being 'Double XL' with Huma Qureshi.Also season 2 of Heermandi has been green light by the streaming platform Netflix.
