BHOPAL: A class 7 girl was gangraped repeatedly by two men for three days while being held confined in a house in Mandla, police said on Thursday. The accused are on the run.
The survivor lives in Jabalpur and befriended one of the accused, Rajan, a Mandla resident, on social media around six month ago, said police. The duo exchanged numbers and began chatting.
According to police, Rajan invited her to Mandla, promising to take to Kanha Tiger Reserve. On April 26, she travelled 100km to Mandla to meet Rajan but he took her to a friend's place where they held her captive and gangraped her repeatedly for three days, say police.
On Wednesday afternoon, the two men dropped her off at Mandla bus-stand, told her to go home and threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the gang rape.
Upon reaching home, she confided in her family, who immediately took her to police. A case was registered the same night and police teams were sent out in search of the suspects.
