Tom Cruise, the actor who masters the stunts, thrillingly gave a nod to the hopeful future of his dramatic action films. The iconic Ethan Hunt arrives at the Indian silver screens tomorrow, and the audience has been waiting for it for a long time. However, is ‘Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning’ really the end of the franchise?

“Well, they don’t call it final for nothing!”

In an interview with ET at the London premiere, the host asked whether the ‘final reckoning’ is really the final film of the franchise. Cruise, in all his smiles, responded, “Well, they don’t call it final for nothing!”

For Tom Cruise, it's never a goodbye...

It’s been 7 years since Cruise started working on the project, and while it gives him a ‘tremendous amount of enjoyment’ to work and put effort, he said that it’s never a ‘goodbye’ for him. “I have a tremendous amount of enjoyment making these and exerting that effort and creating all of this together. For me, it's never goodbye. It's like 'we'll see you again," hinting at the other prospects.

It's the end of the 'mission' but not Tom Cruise's films

The fans would be relieved to hear that even if the ‘mission’ is put to bed, Cruise stated that he always thinks about the other stories and franchises, ‘Top Gun.’ Tom even mentioned that he just finished shooting an untitled film with Iñárritu, and teased future collaborations with other filmmakers.

Ana De Armas and Tom Cruise

Ana De Armas recently revealed that hanging out with Cruise has been ‘a lot of fun,’ and they are discussing a lot of future films with each other. In an interview with Good Morning America, when asked about the 62-year-old action hero, Ana added, “Not just one, but a few projects with Doug Liman and Christopher McQuarrie and, of course, Tom. I’m so excited.”
