Actress
Lakshmi Manchu hosted her annual fundraising fashion show for Teach For Change in Hyderabad, aiming to support education for underprivileged children. While the event was star-studded, featuring celebrities like Shruti Haasan and Shriya Saran, it took an emotional turn when Lakshmi's brother,
Manchu Manoj, made a surprise appearance.
In a viral video from the event, Manoj can be seen quietly sneaking up behind Lakshmi. Shocked by his presence, she dropped to the ground, overwhelmed with emotion, and hugged him tightly. Manoj's wife, Bhuma Mounika, joined them, comforting Lakshmi and wiping her tears.
Speaking about the moment later as per a Pinkvilla report, Manoj joked that they hadn't met in a while and added that his late arrival at the event further upset her.
The reunion comes amid a public feud within the Manchu family. Manoj has been embroiled in disputes with his father, Mohan Babu, and brother
Vishnu Manchu over allegations of theft, vandalism, and assault. Just days before the event, Manoj staged a dharna outside his father's residence after reportedly being denied entry. He also accused Vishnu of stealing valuables from his home while he was away celebrating his daughter's birthday.
Despite these familial tensions, Lakshmi has stayed focused on her philanthropic efforts.
On the professional front, Lakshmi was last seen in the web series 'Yakshini' and is set to appear in the Telugu film 'Adiparvam'. Meanwhile, Manoj is working on rebuilding his career amidst personal challenges.
On the other hand, Vishnu Manchu will be next seen in the upcoming mega mythological film, 'Kannappa'.
