Mouni Roy gained attention for her performances in films like 'Gold' and 'Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva' in Bollywood. The actress, who had a steady career in television, is now gearing up for the release of her next Bollywood horror comedy, 'The Bhootnii', which is set for a theatrical release on May 1. She was seen promoting the movie with the cast and crew, where she opened up about her journey in Bollywood and the concept of typecasting.
In a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Mouni reflected on the challenges of being stereotyped in the industry. She shared that her transition from television to OTT and the big screen was tough. She believes that life is all about dealing with such difficult moments, as there is no shortcut to getting things done. Mouni added that she believes in hard work and that, initially, she had been very clear about what not to do.

When asked about being typecast, Mouni shared a different perspective, saying, “I don’t see it that way. People will always try to pull you down and typecast you, but why let them? You have the power to reinvent yourself, again and again. You decide what projects you want to pick and be a part of. You choose the scripts, the films, and the direction you want your career to take.”
