Alia Bhatt, Sharvari Wagh starrer spy universe film 'Alpha' to release in cinemas on THIS date

A while ago, YRF had unveiled the title of their film as they announced their next spy universe thriller starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh. This movie has already gone on floors. Both the actresses are set portray super agents in this action-packed thriller. And now, the makers have also locked in the film's release date.
The excitement surrounding 'Alpha' is palpable as it gears up for its theatrical release on Christmas Day in 2025. Yash Raj Films (YRF) confirmed the date on their official social media platforms, stating, "On Christmas 2025, #ALPHA will rise! Get ready for an action-packed holiday… 25th Dec, 2025". This film is particularly noteworthy as it marks the first female-led installment in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes popular franchises such as 'Tiger', 'Pathaan', and 'War'.
'Alpha' expands the YRF Spy Universe with its unique focus on female protagonists. The film features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh as super agents, showcasing their skills in a high-stakes environment filled with intense action and thrilling plot twists.
ETimes had earlier exclusively reported that Sharvari and Alia Bhatt are set to begin the next schedule of Alpha, in Mumbai starting September 13. Our source had revealed, “A heavily guarded set has been put up in Mumbai and the two will need to be in the best physical fitness to be able to pull off the massive stunts that have been planned for their characters in the film. Alia Bhatt and Sharvari are taking on intense action sequences in their upcoming film Alpha. Both actresses are going all out, ensuring they’re ready for the high-octane challenges ahead."
"This intensely physical schedule will last for about 15 days, and all precaution has been taken in terms of prep so that the two actors are ready to execute what’s planned for them smoothly” the source added.
Filming for 'Alpha' commenced in July 2024, with both lead actresses undergoing rigorous training to prepare for their roles. The cast also includes Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, adding depth and star power to the project. With its blend of action and strong female leads, 'Alpha' is set to redefine expectations within the spy genre.
