Fortnite’s fiery new update brings a deadly twist to Chapter 6 Season 2 with the arrival of Scorpion, one of Mortal Kombat’s most iconic warriors. As part of the highly anticipated Fortnite x Mortal Kombat crossover, Scorpion now appears on the island as a boss NPC - and defeating him unlocks some powerful loot. But tracking him down and surviving the encounter is no easy feat.

Where to find Scorpion in Fortnite?

Scorpion doesn’t have a fixed spawn point - instead, he can appear at one of three newly added Mortal Kombat-themed locations:
  • The Pit (east of Shining Span)
  • Dead Pool (beneath Masked Motorway Bank in Masked Meadows)
  • The Living Forest (between Whiffy Wharf and Flooded Frogs)

At the beginning of each match, players can spot Scorpion’s icon on the map, which marks his location for that round. However, if the icon is still moving later in the game, it could mean Scorpion has already been defeated and his First Blood Medallion has been dropped for others to claim.
To trigger the boss fight, players must interact with a Mortal Kombat gong located at the designated arena. This immediately summons Scorpion and begins the one-on-one battle.

How to defeat Scorpion in Fortnite?

While Scorpion’s iconic “Get over here!” might sound thrilling, going toe-to-toe with him is anything but easy. Here's what you need to survive the encounter:
  • Full shields and high-DPS weapons like SMGs or assault rifles.
  • Maintain distance, as Scorpion excels in close-range combat.
  • Watch for his signature spear pull, which drags players toward him.
  • Dodge his slam attack - especially in The Pit, where falling means instant elimination.
Attack from angles and consider teaming up if other players are nearby, but beware - they may swoop in for the final blow.
If you’re confident in your melee skills, Scorpion’s own Kombat Kit (Epic variant) may be found at the arena if he hasn't spawned there.

Scorpion boss rewards

Players who successfully defeat Scorpion will receive a valuable set of items, including:
  • Mythic Scorpion's Kombat Kit - A melee weapon with powerful punch, fire breath, and a spear throw that pulls enemies toward you.
  • First Blood Medallion - Grants a small explosive bonus on the first bullet of every magazine.
  • Epic Collateral Damage Assault Rifle
  • Chug Jug - For quick recovery post-fight

Scorpion is more than just a flashy crossover, he’s a formidable boss with rewards worth chasing. Whether you’re a Mortal Kombat veteran or a Fortnite thrill-seeker, testing your might against him is an experience no fan should miss
