Rivals' latest update introduces the Jump Pad, a game-changing mobility tool obtainable by collecting nine hidden Jump Shards. Three shards are in the lobby, while the remaining six are scattered across various battle maps like Bridge, Construction, and Station. Mastering the vertical game unlocks new tactical opportunities, rewarding exploration and platforming skills.

The latest Rivals update brought a whole new level of mobility, with the Jump Pad as a great new option. Looking flashy? Perhaps! But look again, as it changes the course of the game. Dodging gunfire or ambushing enemies above, mastery of the vertical is your friend. But to get your hands on it, there's a catch: you have to go scavenging for it by locating the nine hidden Jump Shards scattered around the game area. Now here's how you go through the process of locating them without hassle.

Start at home: The Lobby Shards

They start finding the shards in the main lobby, prior to entering the real battle maps. There are three hidden Jump Shards here:

Shard 1: Weapons Area. Walk toward the back of the Weapons area, away from the red barrels and crates; there lies your first shard in a corner. Just run right into it to collect it.
Shard 2: 2v2 Queue. A bit sneakier vibe-this should be looked on the right side near the 2v2 queue area. It is snuggled in a shadowy corner.
Shard 3: Behind the Leaderboard. Come around to the back of the leaderboard display. The third shard should be glimmering away.

Once you get through this part, a third of your work is done. From here onwards, the real adventure begins!

Off to the maps: Battle Zone Shards

The last six shards shimmer enticingly away in other maps—Bridge, Construction, Crossroads, Docks, Onyx, and Station. A single map is chosen by a voting system of the players, and that is why queuing with friends might probably serve better to hasten the need.

Bridge: Try and find a pillar at the center of the map just outside the duel zone. Up are your parkour skills-you will be needing them here.
Construction: Bring a grenade and a scythe. The shard is at the very top of a yellow tower. Do a grenade jump off a close platform and then scythe-climb the rest. It's a bit of a grueling job but well worth it.
Crossroads, Docks, and Onyx: Each of these three places has one shard hidden in very crafty locations. It encourages a little bit of platforming and a lot of familiarity with the maps. Nooks near spawn points, rooftops, off-path ledges-Check them out. The key is; explore.
Station: The last shard is perhaps the hardest one. It lies outside the playable area on the Station map. Walk slowly along the map border walls until you see a glowing shard near the corner. Hurry up though as if you take too long, you will be teleported back.

When all nine shards have been collected, the Jump Pad will automatically go into your inventory.
