Scott Pucino who reshaped the landscape of baseball passes away at 71
Scott Pucino was the brain behind one of the biggest deals back in 2013. From initiating it to representing Felix Hernandez for a $176 million contract with the Seattle Mariners for 7 years- Pucino was hailed for his briliance and his undying support for the baseball stars. A compassionate soul, intelligent mind and empathic personality- Pucino very well described these aspects during his baseball career. The obituary message by the Octagon Baseball mentioned-
“It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Scott Pucino, a beloved member of our team. A pillar of our family for more than three decades, Scotty has been an instrumental part of Octagon Baseball’s leadership, and always will be. The first to lend a hand, Scotty was consistently there to give life advice and offer support at any moment for all that were fortunate to be in his presence.”The statement further read as-
“His extraordinary contributions to Octagon, impression on the sport, and influence on all those he encountered will continue to be felt for years to come. The impact he had on all of us is incalculable. Our thoughts are with Meg, Danny and Joey, and their entire family during this difficult time. In loving memory of Octagon Baseball Scott Pucino, donations can be made here.”In a game where an athelete’s career starts with home runs and even ends with consecutive bad performance, Scott Pucino stood for the deserving athletes throughout his career. Despite being one of the most influential faces in the baseball world, he never chose to steal the limelight as he was hardly spotted in front of the camera as Pucino very well understoo the importance of a good deal for an athlete, which holds the power to change the trajectory of their career.
