So far this year in 2025, he's hitting a dismal.186, but he leads the American League with 15 stolen bases and has been improving late at the plate.Luis Robert Jr.'s deal has him as a highly sought-after option for the Mets. He signed a six-year, $50 million deal in 2020 and is earning $15 million this year. They have options in 2026 and 2027 as well, which keeps options open if they do bring him aboard. He plays center field, a position where the Mets are presently short.To acquire Luis Robert Jr., the White Sox are said to be interested in Blade Tidwell, a 23-year-old pitcher rated as the Mets' 15th-best prospect.
