RANCHI: The District Education Officer in Ranchi has ordered school closures on Thursday apprehending traffic jam during chief minister's swearing-in ceremony at Morabadi . The decision comes as authorities expect over one lakh visitors to attend the event.
The official letter cited concerns about student safety amid anticipated heavy traffic congestion from the influx of personal vehicles and buses across the state. Several prominent institutions, including Jawahar Vidya Mandir Shyamali and Bishop Westcott Girls' School, will remain completely closed.
Some schools, such as SR DAV Public School and DAV Anand, have opted for online classes. Others, including Delhi Public School Ranchi and Kairali School, will operate on a half-day schedule to minimize disruption while ensuring student safety.
